We carry as many parts as possible — new, aftermarket, and sometimes used — but no mobile shop can stock everything. If we don’t have the part, we’ll immediately go over every money-saving option

A long-distance parts run is expensive and time-critical. It requires approval from the driver, dispatch, fleet manager, or another company representative — and it’s only done when absolutely necessary. If you choose a parts run, expect hours of travel time and high mileage, because that cost adds up fast.

If a parts pickup is required, the customer must provide clear verbal approval, which will be recorded for accuracy, documentation, and billing verification. Approval may be given by the driver, dispatch, fleet manager, or another company representative.

Before proceeding, we will ask the approving person to confirm the following on the recorded line

“Do you confirm that you are authorized by your company to approve this service and all related billing, including travel time, mileage, and parts cost”

If dispatch or a company representative provides approval, we treat that approval as authorization on behalf of the company, unless the company states otherwise before work begins. This ensures transparency, prevents billing disputes, and protects both parties.

Why Parts Runs Are a Last Resort

Our nearest supplier locations are:

  • Salt Lake City, UT – approx. 2 hours each way

  • Elko, NV – approx. 2 hours each way

A parts pickup typically results in:

  • A minimum of 5 billable hours

  • Approx. 300 total miles billed round trip

  • Hourly rate charged for the entire travel time

  • Mileage charged for the full round trip

    Before You Approve a Parts Run

    We will always present these lower-cost options before seeking approval for a parts run.

  • DOT-approved temporary repairs

  • In stock new, Used or modified parts (when allowed)

  • You picking up the part yourself

  • Rental car options, or arranging Uber/Lyft (Salt Lake City or Elko)

  • We will attempt to locate parts from local suppliers

  • We can share other shops to contact, but we do not recommend or endorse them.
